Our fields of study over the years
The roots of our school lie in the automotive industry from the beginning.
Our traditional and oldest field is Bodywork, the content of which we helped to shape. Over time, several other fields gained a place with us, such as Toolmaker, which has been experiencing a renaissance in recent years, the popular Car Painter, for which we built a modern spray booth, Upholsterer, which combines craftsmanship with art, or so popular Car mechanic.
To allow our apprenticeship graduates to develop further, we opened an additional field of Operational Technology. In addition, after 1994, we added two modern courses, namely Computer Graphics in Engineering and CNC Machinery Mechanic.
We have solid foundations, but we are not standing still. We are developing and thanks to this, our graduates and we are getting better.
Why study at our school?
At Technická Vysoké Mýto, we focus on preparing students in 10 engineering and automotive fields. Whether they decide to become a car mechanic, a farm machinery mechanic, a car painter, a machinist, an upholsterer, a CNC machinery mechanic, computer graphic designer, or have already completed their apprenticeship and are willing to study a two-year extra course of Operational Technology, our door is open to them all.
According to the field of study, students get some special certificates and licenses
free of charge, e.g. welding certificates and a driving license. They also have the
opportunity to receive merit-based scholarships in a number of our fields of study.
Both of above mentioned are significant financial benefits for our students and their
families.
We have experienced and friendly teaching staff, skilled masters in workshops, long-
term strong partnerships with production companies, modern equipment in
classrooms and workshops, indoor and outdoor sports fields, an on-site dormitory,
and much more.
Learning should be fun, that is why we organize various extracurricular activities. Our
students take part in contests and competitions on technical, environmental, and
creative matters.
Anyway, life at Technická is not just about learning. We offer a lot of excursions and
trips within the Czech Republic and abroad. This helps our students to develop
friendships not only with their classmates but also with other schoolmates from
different fields of study. We hope many of these friendships last for the rest of their
lives.
As we are a middle-sized school, we are proud of keeping a family atmosphere. The
best compliment for us is when parents and friends recommend their children and
friends to study at our school because they have studied here as well.
While studying at our school, students have an internship and take up a part-time job
at one of the partner companies or make other contacts for future cooperation and
employment, so they do not have to worry about their future after leaving school.
Technická Vysoké Mýto is the school that prepares students for life.
COURSES with final Maturita certificate
Computer Graphics in Engineering
This four-year course is designed for creative students who see their future in engineering. They learn about machines and machinery, design and model components, or simple tools. Students are able to read and draw technical drawings, and finally, they watch how a drawing becomes a component or a product. It is a modern field that opens the way not only to practice but also to university studies.
CNC Machinery Mechanic
A four-year course designed for manually skilled students who enjoy technology and
want to create various components with the help of most modern technologies.
Students learn how to apply their practical skills, weld, and work with modern
machinery and technologies, including CNC machines. As they get a great
engineering foundation, this field of study also opens the way to university studies for many students.
There is a new possibility of obtaining both a Maturita certificate (CNC Machinery
Mechanic) and an Apprenticeship certificate for the field of Machinist.
Operational Technology
This two-year extension course is designed for students who already have their apprenticeship certificate and want to complete their secondary school studies with a Maturita certificate. They will learn about machines and machinery, technical measurement, material testing, engineering design, etc. Students will be able to read and draw technical drawings in modern software. After passing the course, many students continue to study at a university.
COURSES with final Apprenticeship certificate
Car body mechanic
A three-year course that is ideal for students whose hobby is cars and have handy hands.
